You will find it easy to record narrations on Windows 11, record mp3 on Windows 11, as well as record audio of lectures and meetings on Windows 11. Here’s how you can use it to record audio from your computer:
Download and open the recording software RecMaster. Then, choose the Audio Only mode. (Other Modes>> Audio Only)
Tip: RecMaster offers seven different recording modes in total, such as Full-Screen Mode, Custom Area Mode, Game Mode, Webcam Mode, etc. If you want to know how to use other modes, you can click here to get it.
Before you start an audio recording, you can choose to enable the system sound and microphone and adjust the volume on the main interface. If you want to record your own voice, you can turn on the microphone. If you don’t want to record the system sound at the same time, you can turn off the system sound.
For more about audio settings, please jump to other settings of audio recording.
Tips:
When you are ready for voice recording, you can click the big red REC button (or Alt + 1 keyboard shortcut). After a three-second countdown, the audio recording will start automatically.
During the sound recording, you can see the recording time, the size of the recording file, and the computer memory on the main interface. The Pause and Stop buttons are on the right.
When you want to end the audio recording, you can click the Stop button (or Alt + 2 keyboard shortcut), and the recorded audio will be automatically saved in the recording list.
Tip: When you move the cursor to the top of the screen, a toolbar will appear. You can see the recording time on this floating bar, pause, or stop the recording. Is it very nice?
In the recording list, you are able to play, rename, or delete the recorded sound. It’s a good idea to rename your audio files after recording them. This makes it easier to find what you’re looking for in the future.
To share your recording with others, you can click the Upload icon on the right corner and share it to YouTube or Google Drive.
Now you should know the basics of audio recording with RecMaster on Windows 11. RecMaster also has some advanced settings that allow you to use the Audio Only mode better. For your convenience, we’ve listed and briefly introduced these advanced settings below. The software has default settings, if you have no special needs, you can choose to keep it as it is.
When you are at work or leisure, have you ever wanted to save audio in MP3 format for some personal reasons and couldn’t find a suitable method? In RecMaster, you can choose to set the audio format to MP3 or WAV. Click Menu to Settings, then the Settings window appears. Now you can easily find the Audio Format in the File list.
Sample rate defines the number of samples per second taken from a continuous signal to make a discrete or digital signal. In the Sample Rate menu, you can choose 8000Hz, 11025Hz, 22050Hz, 44100Hz, or 48000Hz. (Menu>> Settings>> Audio>> Sample Rate).
Note: The higher the Sample Rate the better the sound quality, and the larger file size. The recommended sample rate is 44100Hz and 48000Hz.
Bit rate is the number of bits that are conveyed or processed per unit of time. Here you can set audio bit rates such as 64Kbps, 1218Kbps, 192Kbps, 256Kbps, and 320Kbps. (Menu>> Settings>> Audio>> Bit Rate)
Note: The larger the Bit Rate, the better the sound quality, and the larger file size. The default bit rate is normally 128kbps. If you hope to get better sound quality or ultimately keep the original quality and don’t mind the file size, you can choose a higher bit rate.
When you are recording PC audio, if you do not want to record the click sound at the same time as the system sound, you can disable the click sound. (Menu>> Settings>> Cursor>> Click sound)
If you have a lot of things to record or record long audio, you can set a task schedule. This can prevent you from sitting in front of the computer for a long time and delaying other important matters.
You can find the Task Schedule in the menu or just click the clock-shaped icon on the main interface. You’ll be able to choose the recording mode, start time, and end time of each recording task.
